چکیده

Black scurf disease is a major problem for cultivation of potato worldwide that managed by synthetic agrochemicals, are increasing environmental pollution as well residue in farm produce also. Therefore, now day use bio-agents managing black attractive feature and need the hour. A promising bio surfactant OD02 isolate, was isolated from oil contaminated soil, utilizing its secondary metabolite after preliminary biosurfactant screening tests. Furthermore, this strain exhibited positive test with haemolytic activity, emulsification index, spreading test, molecular characterization 16S rRNA universal primers revealed belongs to Bacillus group, further chemically characterized using TLC, exhibiting reddish pink colour lipopeptide demonstrated antagonistic activity against Rhizoctonia solani under vitro dual culture (45±0.30%) at 3% concentration food poisoning method. subtilis HussainT-AMU very effective phytopathogen R. can be more explored future diseases management strategies.

Biocontrol efficacy of different isolates of Trichoderma against soil borne pathogen Rhizoctonia solani.

In this study, the biocontrol abilities of water-soluble and volatile metabolites of three different isolates of Trichoderma (T. asperellum, T. harzianum and Trichoderma spp.) against soil borne plant pathogen Rhizoctonia solani were investigated both in vitro and in vivo. The results showed for the first time that mycelial growth inhibition of the pathogen was 74.4-67.8% with water-soluble met...

Efficacy of several potential biocontrol organisms against Rhizoctonia solani on potato

Twenty-eight potential biocontrol organisms were tested for efficacy against Rhizoctonia solani on potato in a series of greenhouse trials. Organisms tested consisted of field isolates of Paenibacillus polymyxa, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Penicillium sp., Trichoderma sp., and Rhizoctonia zeae; known biocontrol isolates including Laetisaria arvalis, Verticillium biguttatum, Cladorrhinum foecundiss...

Interplay between Parasitism and Host Ontogenic Resistance in the Epidemiology of the Soil-Borne Plant Pathogen Rhizoctonia solani

Spread of soil-borne fungal plant pathogens is mainly driven by the amount of resources the pathogen is able to capture and exploit should it behave either as a saprotroph or a parasite. Despite their importance in understanding the fungal spread in agricultural ecosystems, experimental data related to exploitation of infected host plants by the pathogen remain scarce. Using Rhizoctonia solani ...

Rhizospheric Bacillus subtilis Exhibits Biocontrol Effect against Rhizoctonia solani in Pepper (Capsicum annuum)

This study aimed at evaluating the ability of SL-44 to control Rhizoctonia solani and promote pepper (Capsicum annuum) growth. Strain SL-44 was isolated from plant rhizosphere and the pot experiment results indicated that the dry and fresh weights of pepper in SL-44 and Rhizoctonia solani (S-R) treatment were 45.5% and 54.2% higher than those in Rhizoctonia solani (R) treatment and 18.2% and 31...
